Sun can come

Before going on vacay, I'll make sure to be on the safe side and protect the skin. This is just some of the stuff I'll bring and just to show you some of my favourites.

Love Lookfantastic

I have been in some serious need of restocking hair products now. I didn't even have any kind of deep treatment at all at home and that is bad for my hair. Anyway, I ordered the three products at the bottom of the pic above and got the rest as gifts. I simply love Lookfantastic!

So this is just a big tip from me to you, if you haven't already discovered the site.

...And before you ask - this is not a sponsored post.

What to do? Ombre or no ombre? Long or short?

Don't know what to do...Should I cut it short or medium? Keep it long and brown? Any favourite?

It should also be mentioned that some of the above substances are only microplastics in some specific conditions and in other contexts they are instead thickeners, as it is e.g. with PVP.

Versace's new Bright Crystal: "Absolu"

One of my all time favorites is Bright Crystal from Versace. Now, it has been a long time since a last used it, since I always want to try new ones.

Lucky for me and everyone else who are big fans of Bright Crystal, soon we'll be able to purchase the new version "Absolu". It is created by perfumer Alberto Morillas and features top notes of Yuzu and pomegranate. It has a heart of raspberry, lotus flower, peony and magnolia. The base notes are of Acajou wood, vegetal amber and musk. I think I'm gonna like this one.

PS. For those of you that like photography, the campaign is shot by Mario Testino once more. DS.

L'Oreal Casting Crème Gloss Iced Chocolates

This is the second time I've used Loreals Casting Creme. First time I did use the 513 near the roots and appr. 10 cm out and the 613 in the ends. I had a more kind of ombre style then. This time around I wanted to get rid of the "orange:y" tone all over. So I actually used the 513 from root to tip. The results you can see below.

I really think it's great at the ends and further down the lengths, since it has a really great brown cool tone to it there (it barely shows in the pic though), but at the roots I don't really like the violet/red tone, so next time I think I'll either go for the 613 or try a non "iced" alternative. What do you reckon?

Ombre Nails

I'm quite not over the ombre thing yet. I still think ombre hair looks great, but I'm a bit tired of it now, since it has been around for some time. Balayage is more my thing for the hair. Anyways, back to nails! Love all of these looks. And this is how you can do it:

OPI Liquid Sand Solitaire Review

Yesterday I've got hold of the liquid sand nail polish from OPI. It has the same kind of "sugar crush" or "light caviar" feel to it as the Isadora and Ciaté versions have. The colour I liked the most was Solitaire, but I think I can manage with all of them...

This is the first OPI polish I've ever bought, but it's certainly not the last. I really liked that it was so easy to use and dried fast.

Update: Have worn it for four days now and nothing has come off yet, which is kind of a good thing since no top coat is used. The only thing is that the "crush" feel to it has worn off a bit, the surface is more smoother now.

Fuchsia and Neon Pink

This week I've gotten somewhat hooked on hot pinks, neon and corals. I can't get enough. Just loving the colours so much.

Ombre, bayalage, highlights, solid...or?

Soon spring will arrive and with it, an appointment to the hairdresser. I've had ombre for sometime now, with a short break last summer...for 3 weeks, when I went almost black...But that was then and now is now. I'm not sure at all what the next step will be. If continuing with ombre, or making a softer shading with balayage technique or going solid? What do you think?

Revlon Professional Nutri Color Creme

Yesterday I've received an ordered package, with some products I've been wanting to try. Last time I went to the hairdresser I chose to make it ombre again (and my dresser used no 1002 on me, to keep the yellows out), but after three months I felt I had to do something about the dry ends and the washed out color. I've heard about this "color bomb" from Revlon and had to try it. My goal was to take out the yellow/orange stick and make it less ombre-ish. At the roots I was a 6, in the middle an orange 7 and at the ends a "yellow" 7 to 8.

(The pics above may be somewhat underexposed.) After yesterdays mixing and applying I'm now a cool 6 at the roots and 6/7 at the ends - no orange or yellow stick left. I absolutely love this stuff.
